“Such speed is seldom seen in an Arab horse race” was the comment of Sport-Welt in Germany after the win of the 3-year old stallion Nil Ishan Ibn Al Sakbe at his first life start in the Shadwell Cup over 1’850 meters against 3-year and older horses in Cologne. He proved his high potential with another win in Avenches and two second places later in the season. In 2009 his best result was the second place in the Zayed The First Arabian Listed Cup, a listed race in Frankfurt. He was beaten only by half a length by Al Anqa of Qatar who won also later on in the season the Fillies Breeders Cup in Paris, the most important race for 3-year old horses in Europe.
Nil Ishan Ibn Al Sakbe’s mother, the Dormane daughter Nil Incipit, is herself a black type horse with two Group 1 places at the age of three. Nil Ishan Ibn Al Sakbe is her second foal and her second winner on the race track.
