NIL KHAZNAH – Winner of the Arabian Worldwide Trophy 2010, Nov. 2010

The two purebred Arabians Nil Khaznah and Bengaldesh and the Anglo Arab Gandalf are sharing the win of the 2010 AWW Trophy. The three horses were running the maximum distance of 1’220 kilometers within 7 months. The year before Nil Khaznah already finished the same competition on the 5th place in the final ranking.
We would like to congratulate Nil Khaznah’s rider Stefan Zöller and her owner Ina Baader for this fantastic win and this impressive performance of the 12-year old mare. In order to win the AWW Trophy Nil Khaznah had to pass 11 competitions. The hardest one was a 5-day race over the Schwäbische Alb with a total of 350 kilometers followed by a 3-day race, the Beluga Arabian Cup over 200 kilometers.

We still remember Nil Khaznah when born at Nile Arabians. We called her only “Minouche” which is a French nickname for a sweet cat. The filly was so small that she could easily hide herself below her mother and only her head was peering between mother’s hind legs. Already as a filly Nil Khaznah was full of energy and she challenged her mother more than once. But Nil Nouza's first born foal was growing quickly to high leged tall mare.

At the age of three, Nil Khaznah entered our training stables where she was broken in and trained by Franziska Aeschbacher. The young mare learned very quickly and she demonstrated her delight to run.
After winning her second gold medal at the Swiss National stock Show, we sold her as a 4-year old to Austria where she started her endurance career with her first two wins. Some years later, Ina Baader from Germany bought the mare and developed her further with a lot of patience.

Nil Khaznah’s
extraordinary capability for the endurance sport is not only by accident. She originates from the most successful performance line in Switzerland
, the famous N-Line of Nile Arabians founded by Naya (1975-1993), and belongs to its 4th generation. Beside Nil Khaznah, this mother line produced other successful race and endurance winners like Nil Krushan 1991 (Versal x Nil Najada), Nil Incipit 1997 (Dormane x Nil Najada), Nil Nebraska 1998 (Pamir x Nil Najada), Prince du Nil 2000 (Barour de Cardonne x Nil Nubia), Nil Insha 2003 (Al Sakbe x Nil Incipit) and Nil Ishan Ibn Al Sakbe 2006 (Al Sakbe x Nil Incipit).
