End of racing season with the PRIX DARLEY ARABIAN in Avenches, November 1st 2009

The PRIX DARLEY ARABIAN was the last purebred Arabian race of the season with a prize money of CHF 5’000.- and a racing distance of 1’800 meters. The race was won by the French bred stallion Banjo du Loup (Darike x Nevadou) owned by the Princess of Fürstenberg in Germany.

The 5-year old Banjo du Loup is currently one of the most successful race horses trained in Germany. After his second place in Frankfurt three weeks ago, he was favoured in Avenches for his second win in 2009.
The second place went to the stallion Nil Ishan Ibn Al Sakbe (Al Sakbe x Nil Incipit), bred by Nile Arabians, owned by Patrick Glanzmann and trained by Franziska Aeschbacher. This top 3-year old stallion had a very successful first racing season with 2 wins and 2 second places out of 5 starts winning a total prize money of CHF 12’000.-. He was awarded as the Swiss Champion Race Horse 2009.

Third placed horse was the three year old stallion Suhaim (Dormane x Seceryna) from the Netherlands. Fourth and fifth placed were the 4-year old mare Kahrma (Dormane x Kahloucha) and the 3-year old gelding Ikarus (Itlal x Nil Nariadna) both bred in Switzerland.
