First win at his first start for Nil Ishan Ibn Al Sakbe at the Shadwell Cup in Cologne, July 12th 2009

“Such speed is seldom seen in a Arab horse race” was the comment of Sport-Welt in Germany after the win of the 3-year old stallion Nil Ishan Ibn Al Sakbe by Al Sakbe out of the Dormane daughter Nil Incipit in the Shadwell Cup over 1’850 meters for 3-year and older horses.

The 18:1 outsider was ridden by Markus Kolb in the first half of the field most of the race. At a long home straight of 600 meter Nil Ishan Ibn Al Sakbe showed the best speed of all horses and won 1 ¼ lengths in front of the French bred 6-year old Ba’Kenz.
His mother Nil Incipit is a black type mare with a race record
of two starts and two places on Group 1 Level at the age of three. Nil Ishan Ibn al Sakbe, bred by Nile Arabians and trained by Franziska Aeschbacher, is her second foal. Her fist foal was Nil Insha also by Al Sakbe. She has a race record of 1 win and 6 places out of 8 starts.
